Open and get started

1. Download and extract the ZIP.
2. Open START-HERE.html in a current desktop browser.
3. Replace the sample values. Use one currency throughout.
4. Export a backup before closing or refreshing.
5. Load your JSON backup next time you open the file.

Keep backups in a secure folder. If local files are blocked on a managed work computer, ask your administrator to review the file.

Understand the numbers

Use billable hours, not total working hours, for overhead allocation. Include owner pay in labor. Avoid entering the same overhead twice. Cash-flow forecasts use expected clearing dates; invoices alone are not cash received.
